I was afraid my electric bill would go up but my LG dryer is so efficient. The sensor is accurate and stops the dry cycle when its all dry even before the timer goes off. I have not had to rerun a load to get it completely dry.

Annoying rattling/grinding sound

Our brand new DLE3400W dries fairly well but has a very annoying loud rattling/grinding sound from the very first load even when empty. We have requested service but have not heard anything from LG in days so service doesnt seem very good either. We get tons of marketing material from LG since registering my product though. The beeps and boops are a little over the top and the finish signal plays a whole quiet song which is better than a buzzer but not sure how effective it is as it is hard to hear if you are not close by.

We had to retire the old LG dryer not because it quit working but because there was a crack in the drum Still ran good after 14 years or so I thought. Fired this new one up the day it was installed and I guess the old one was wearing out because this baby did the same job 10-20 minutes faster So simple to use too. Dryer does not produce heat sensor does not work

I bought this shiny new dryer a month ago but have not been able to use it. It runs for a couple of minutes does not produce heat and then cheerily announces the cycle is done. Sometimes it throws error codes some times it does not but the bottom line is that it does not work. On a service call I was told it is my electrical circuits despite the fact that we have a circuit board less than 6 months old that was completely overhauled to run rooftop solar and handle much more juice. This is also despite the fact that my 20+ year old energy hog of a dryer always worked just fine. So I am waiting for an expensive house call from an electrician to prove the circuits are fine while we bring our clothes to laundromat or hope it does not rain so we can lay out the linens. The dryer clearly needs a recalibration or a service call to diagnose its problem but LG will not provide.

Horrible Dryer- Do Not Buy

I ignored everyones feedback about how bad this LG front loader dryer is after purchase. It has an airflow sensor which is malfunctioning just like everyone said. I have hired a technician to look at the dryer to insure that the exhaust hose is straight and without a kink. We have also had the exhaust to the outside cleaned and inspected. Just like everyone says this dryers air flow sensor malfunctions. The new LG dryer replaces a former LG dryer with which we had no problems with the same air flow discharge setup. Our old LG dryer work for 15 years with the air flow discharge system that we have. The greatest advice that you will receive here is not to buy this dryer.

Seems that LG made a simple appliance way to complicated. After installing the dryer we could not get it to start. Got into a Install Test mentioned in the owner manual and we kept getting a error message that said the dryer door was not fully closed. Spent several hours with the Chat person and ended up getting a case number and recommendation that the we contact Lowes for service. That turned out to be a false start as Lowes has no service technicians. Long story short the unit eventually began working but it was a lot of back and forth to get there. LG who need a app on there phone to run a dryer? Come on keed it simple. The owers manual is a joke Way to to much to wade through. I recommed a fast start card be provided 5 to 6 steps and you are good to go.

Brand new dryer that broke in less than a year.

Regrettably went LG 7/25/2023

Bought this dryer brand new and in 11 months it broke. LG at least honored the warranty and sent out a repair man. The dryer is fixed but it now makes an annoying noise when it runs. Which it definitely DID NOT make before. I imagine the dryer will work another month when it breaks again but at that point it will be out of Warranty and not LGs problem.

Dryer Works Well After Fixing Initial Problem

After installing the dryer correctly it would not work after pressing start button it dinged twice and nothing happened. An LG technician came out the next day and diagnosed the problem. Due to loose manufacturing tolerances even when fully closed the door did not push the door switch in far enough for the dryer to work and there is no adjustability to correct this problem. The technician fixed by building up the door surface with mounting tape which I have now replaced with a more stable cabinet door bumper. This should have been discovered and corrected before the dryer was shipped to me. Since being fixed I have done 5 or 6 loads without any issues. Its annoying that the Energy Saver modewhich adds 15 minutes to the drying time is the default setting and has to be disabled every time.

I bought this dryer a month ago along as part of a washer/dryer set. I have had no issues with LG products in the past and I do not expect any from this product. The dryer is very quiet and offers a fine selection of settings.

This front loading dryer was new to us. It dries quickly and is very quiet. I added wool dryer balls and everything dries quickly. It adjusts the time to dry based on how damp the items are.

Broken right out of the box

Drier shut down and had trouble codes the 1st time it was used. Ultimately it ended up being a sensor in the unit but getting it repaired thru LG was a major fiasco Hours spent on the phone with them disconnected calls they even forgot about me on hold once for 45 min and then even transferred my to home depot for some reason......I bought from Lowes Between the hours lost on calls the major aggravations multiple service tech visits the inept customer service reps i will not be buying anymore LG products. That said now that the drier is repaired it works great.
